Renmark is the Murray River’s oldest settlement 250 km n-e of Adelaide. This large service town sits in the heart of rich Riverland orchard country growing citrus, olives, garlic and many other types of fruit. Original inhabitants were the Naralte Aborigines who named the area meaning ‘red mud’. The building of a vital irrigation system from 1887, saw the area flourish as it does still today.
